Pittsburgh Brookline Food Drive
On a recent volunteer visit to the Brookline Community Food Pantry, Hannah Tremel, a 7th grade student at Pittsburgh Brookline K-8 noticed a shortage of food available for the community. Hannah decided she needed to help and approached Mrs, Lucas, Pittsburgh Brookline’s Principal about the possibility of a school-wide food drive. Coordinated by Hannah with the support of her sister Julia, her parents, and teachers, Hannah’s food drive netted 1425 canned goods from the students and staff. All donated food was then delivered by the Tremel family to the Food Pantry. Way to go Hannah!
