To maintain instructional time for students, all schools will now be in session on November 3, 2009 and February 2, 2010, which previously had been scheduled as days off due to staff professional development. Under the new 2009-10 calendar, the staff professional development will occur by extending four days for staff beyond student instructional time.
The District continues to enthusiastically support the selection of Pittsburgh CAPA 6-12 as a G20 Pittsburgh Summit Venue site and will develop a selection process for students and staff who wish to participate in the event that the White House is planning at the school.
