New WQED TV Show, Science Mission 101, searches out new generation of scientists
Guthrie Gintzler, a sophomore at Pittsburgh Allderdice High School, is one of six Pittsburgh-area students co-starring in the pilot episode of WQED-TV’s “Science Mission 101.” The program premieres on Thursday, November 12 at 8:00pm on WQED-TV, with replay dates listed below.

Guthrie’s biology teacher at Pittsburgh Allderdice, Dr. Janet Waldeck, encouraged Guthrie to apply to the University of Pittsburgh’s summer “Gene Team” program, from which he was selected to participate in the Science Mission 101.
The program has also been picked up by American Public Television for national distribution, and will air across the U.S. in January
According to the WQED-TV website, Science Mission 101 will air on the following dates:
