Pittsburgh Carrick Jewelry & Metals students create award for 17th Annual “History in the Making”
Jewelry & Metals students from Pittsburgh Carrick High School, along with their teachers Michael Dean and Susan Loskoch, were asked by the Department of Parks & Recreation to create an award for the recipients of the 17th Annual “History in the Making” event.
The City of Pittsburgh through “History in the Making” honors ten young African American Leaders of today. The hand fabricated awards were presented by Mayor Luke Ravenstahl to the honorees on February 3, 2010 in the lobby of the City County Building.
Michael T. Radley, Director, Department of Parks and Recreation publicly acknowledged the hard work of the students and teachers who created the pins.
Students involved in making the awards were: Geoffrey Armhein, Nadrea Crosby, Dayjonna Hall, Pantera Purdom, Richard Schott, Dontae Stanton, Taylor Weaver and Zack Zeigler.
