In support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Pittsburgh Banksville PreK-5 staff collected approximately $600.00 to donate to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Each staff member donated $30.00 to the foundation for the privilege to wear jeans each Friday for the remainder of the school year. Students were also made aware of the staff’s efforts to support this cause in order to promote the positive character trait of compassion/giving. (more…)
Pittsburgh Public Schools and The Pittsburgh Promise held the first Pathways to the PromiseTM Night Thursday October 21 at Pittsburgh Obama. Families from 15 different schools across the city came to learn more about The Pittsburgh Promise, Promise-Readiness, and how they can support learning at home.
