As part of National Engineering Week, John Ratzenberger made a visit to Pittsburgh Science & Technology Academy 6-12 to speak to the engineering students and tour the facility.
Due to the cancellation of school, this evening’s Black History Month Celebration has been moved to Monday, February 28th. The evening will be kicked off with refreshments at 5:00 p.m. and the program will begin at 5:30 pm. (more…)
This past Saturday, 13 Pittsburgh Science and Technology Academy 6-12 students, 2 teachers, and a mentor traveled to Erie, PA for a Regional Qualifier Tournament. The two teams ended the day very successfully. One of their robots was a semi-finalist in the competition, while the other robot won the “PTC Design Award.” The robotics team now qualifies for the State Tournament that will be held in Weatherly, PA. The Board voted to approve the charter application for Urban Pathways K-5 College Charter School at this evening Special Legislative Meeting. The vote came after the District Charter Review Team issued a qualified approval for charter. The charter application was one of four seeking approval from the District. (more…)
Pittsburgh Liberty K-5 Spanish teacher, Keri Cox, is the winner of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) video podcast. The podcasts were voted on by member voters and judges and Keri’s podcast won in both categories. (more…)
