Pittsburgh Public Schools and the City Housing Authority host Bedford Academic Success Celebration

Pittsburgh Public Schools is teaming with the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) to focus on rewarding students that have achieved honor roll and high honor roll status during the first semester of school. Pittsburgh Science and Technology students qualify for State Robotics Tournament

This past Saturday, 13 Pittsburgh Science and Technology Academy 6-12 students, 2 teachers, and a mentor traveled to Erie, PA for a Regional Qualifier Tournament. The two teams ended the day very successfully. One of their robots was a semi-finalist in the competition, while the other robot won the “PTC Design Award.” The robotics team now qualifies for the State Tournament that will be held in Weatherly, PA. Dr. Lane makes good on Super Bowl wager

Board Votes to Approve Urban Pathway K-5 College Charter School

The Board voted to approve the charter application for Urban Pathways K-5 College Charter School at this evening Special Legislative Meeting.  The vote came after the District Charter Review Team issued a qualified approval for charter. Pittsburgh Liberty teacher wins ACTFL video podcast contest

Pittsburgh Liberty K-5 Spanish teacher, Keri Cox, is the winner of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) video podcast. The podcasts were voted on by member voters and judges and Keri’s podcast won in both categories. (more…)
