Students from the Pittsburgh Public Schools represented the district and their CTE programs with an esteemed performance at this year’s event. Students were required to demonstrate their skills and compete in accordance with industry performance standards.

In February 2010, the United Way, The Pittsburgh Promise, and NEED are joining forces to provide free personal income tax and student financial aid workshops to Pittsburgh Promise Applicant Families (households with juniors and seniors in the Pittsburgh Public School District).

Art Contest for students in grades 9-12 announced by Allegheny County Immunization Coalition

The “Community Immunity” Art contest sponsored by the Allegheny County Immunization Coalition offers finalists an exhibition at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh from December 4 to 10. The winners will be announced on the final day of the show, and prizes will include scholarships to the Art Institute and a cash prize for top place. Entries are due November 12, 2009.
