Pittsburgh Banksville PreK-5 kicks off 2010-11 school year with “Lights, Camera, Learning in Action”
September 3rd, 2010Pittsburgh Banksville PreK-5 kicked off the new school year on September 1, 2010 with their “Lights, Camera, Learning in Action Premier Back to School Event.” Over 100 families attended giving the Banksville Staff the opportunity to meet, greet, and serve Pittsburgh Banksville families while giving back to the local community in an innovative way. 33 District schools participating in NFL’s Football Fridays
September 3rd, 2010Football season is now in full swing and the District has found its own way to involve students in a positive and enriching way. Football Fridays is a national campaign sponsored by the NFL whose purpose is to advance youth health and wellness as a national priority.
Starting September 10th, Football Fridays encourages schools to wear team colors on Fridays, develop creative events or activities to celebrate and compete for potential $10,000 NFL PLAY 60 minigrant awards to advance health and wellness at their school.
